The Dale Hickam Excellent Teaching Program

This program was established by the Florida Legislature in 1998 to provide incentives for qualified Florida educators to pursue excellence by obtaining certification through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) via an application fee subsidy and to reward public school teachers for remaining in the classroom via annual salary and mentoring bonuses.

Teacher of the Year

This program recognizes and honors classroom teachers/educators who have demonstrated a superior capacity to inspire a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and abilities.

Principal Achievement Award for Outstanding Leadership

This program recognizes exemplary principals for their contributions to their schools and communities.

This program recognizes exemplary assistant principals for their contributions to their schools and communities.
